You may be a pear-shaped.
Your hips are wider than your shoulders and your thighs are round.
You most likely have more narrow shoulders, small to average bust size, small waist, full thighs, hips and bottom.
Most women with this body type want to balance out their proportions and create a sense of proportion.
Tips for you:
- Look for dresses that nip at the waist and slightly flare out over hips and thighs.
- You can pull off a full-skirted ball-gown because it conceals hips and thighs if this is what you intend to do.
- Try sleeveless and strapless to play up pretty shoulders and toned arms.
- An empire, raise waist dress brings the eye up away from below the waist. However, beware, on fuller figure, empire waist can create a maternity look.
- Boat neck blouses and off shoulders top are great choices as they make your shoulders wider which creates more balance.
- Use dark colors below the waist as it has a slimming effect.
- An A line skirt or circular wide skirt can conceal your curves if desired. (if not, you can showcase your bottom which could also be your best assets!)
- Accentuate what you like: a small waist (belt), a delicate upper body ( jewelries, brighter colors, etc) and attractive shoulders and arms (off shoulder/strapless)
- Don’t forget to embrace your beautiful and feminine pear-shaped body! Confidence is the best accessory a woman can use to look her best!
