Brooklyn Fashion Week has emerged as a powerful new showcase for fashion talent on the verge of discovery.The event is responsible for providing a platform for some of the world’s most important new talent, including the UK’s Jay Wilson and Gavin Douglas, Beverly Hills couturier Nana Boateng and Atlanta- based paper artist Cotrice.
As we head into our 6th season, the event and its parent non- profit, The Brooklyn Style Foundation has become acknowledged as THE incubator for emerging design. Having established a solid operational structure and in 2008 pulled together a phenomenal Advisory Board of savvy industry insiders, The Brooklyn Style Foundation is clearly poised to move into its wider mission of providing year- long consultancy services to young designers.
